Spam settings help control unwanted emails and prevent irrelevant conversations from entering your support workflow. EasyDesk provides two key areas here: Spam Sources and Ignore Rules.
Spam Source Management
Spam Sources allow you to block specific email addresses or entire domains.
Steps To Add a Spam Source:
Go To Settings → Spam & Ignore → Spam Tab
Click Add Spam Source
Enter:
Email address (example: user@example.com)
Domain name (example: example.com)
Click Add
Once added:
Emails from that source skip the inbox
Messages move directly to the spam folder
Agents cannot accidentally respond to them
How Spam Filtering Works
EasyDesk applies filtering in this order:
Incoming email arrives
System checks Spam Source list
System checks Ignore list
Valid emails convert into tickets
This layered approach prevents noise while protecting legitimate customer messages.
Best Practices for Spam Control
Block full domains instead of single emails when spam is repetitive
Review spam list periodically to avoid false positives
Use Ignore rules for internal system messages rather than marking them as spam
