Widget settings allow you to customize, install, and control the EasyDesk chat widget so customers can reach support directly from your website while maintaining full brand consistency.
Widget Settings Overview
Widget settings in EasyDesk control how the chat widget looks, where it appears, and how customers interact with your support team directly from your website.
Access Widget Settings
Widget settings can be accessed from the Brand section inside EasyDesk settings.
Steps to open widget settings:
Select Settings from the left sidebar
Select Brand
Select the Widget tab from the top navigation
The widget settings page opens with General, Installation, and Branding options.
General Widget Settings
General settings control the visual appearance and basic behavior of the EasyDesk widget.
Launcher Icon
The launcher icon appears as the chat button on your website.
Steps to update launcher icon:
Select Edit under General
Upload a launcher icon
Use the recommended size of 28 × 28px
Select Save
Theme Color
Theme color defines the primary color of the chat widget.
Steps to change theme color:
Select Change next to the theme color
Choose a color or enter a hex code
Select Save
Font Selection
Font settings control the typography inside the widget.
Steps to change font:
Select Edit under Font
Choose a font from the dropdown list
Select Save
Knowledge Base Access
Knowledge base access allows customers to view help articles directly from the widget.
Steps to manage knowledge base access:
Select Edit under General
Enable or disable the Knowledge Base toggle
Select Save
When enabled, customers can access your knowledge base without leaving the page.
Widget Installation
Installation settings provide the code needed to add the EasyDesk widget to your website.
Choose Installation Type
EasyDesk supports multiple installation methods.
Available options:
· JavaScript code
· React.js code
Copy Widget Code
Steps to install the widget:
Open the Installation section
Select the preferred code type
Select Copy code
Paste the code before the closing </body> tag on every website page
After installation, the widget becomes visible automatically.
Remove EasyDesk Branding From Widget
Branding control allows removal of EasyDesk branding from the widget.
Steps to manage widget branding:
Locate Remove EasyDesk branding
Enable or disable the toggle
Changes apply instantly after saving
When enabled, EasyDesk branding no longer appears on the widget.
Save And Apply Widget Settings
All widget configuration changes require saving to apply.
